Designed for forward-thinking tech adventurers and experience designers, this diploma sets you up as an AR/VR developer in anticipation of cognitive interaction, immersive storytelling, spatial computing, and real-time simulation. 

As part of the diploma, students will learn AR/VR technology concepts through hands-on projects in Unity and Unreal Engine, covering spatial design, user interaction, and immersive environments. You will learn Augmented Reality Development and discuss its application across gaming, architecture, training, and retail. 

With the growth of intelligent design tools, this course introduces a number of elements of AI integration relating to workflows grounded in Gambit AI Trends in our Generative AI Course elements, giving students an advantage for hybrid creative-tech oriented roles and preparation for evolving AR/VR disciplines. 

Guided by experienced mentors who are industry practitioners in Singapore, this diploma program combines technical depth with freedom for creative exploration. You will exit the program with a solid portfolio showcasing AR/VR prototypes and an understanding of the deployment scenarios of AR/VR in the real world.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

We offer an XR Immersive Diploma through our extended reality program that acts as a future-oriented curriculum that provides both the technical understanding and creative abilities required for Spatial Computing success.

The course trains students through practical instruction for 12 months while teaching how to develop immersive projects utilizing Apple Vision Pro alongside Meta Quest 3 and Unity and Unreal engine development platforms. Students will learn how to combine immersive technology with generative artificial intelligence to design impactful solutions across industries that include gaming and healthcare, education and architecture, and numerous other sectors.

Under the instruction of trained professionals with Unity certification and Unreal authorization, you will learn every aspect needed to develop powerful AR/VR/MR solutions from concept development to system deployment.

DURATION: 12 Months Full-Time or Part-Time

HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS: Windows Laptop with a Minimum of i7 (13th Gen) Processor or Ryzen 7, 16 GB RAM (32 GB recommended), RTX 2060 or above, 500GB SSD (1TB recommended). Oculus Quest 2 for VR and Android Phone for AR development are required.

 

NOTE: A Pass in all Modules within the maximum study period is required for Graduation.

12 MONTH PROGRAM

FOUNDATION & FUNDAMENTALS

Your XR education begins with mastering the optimization of digital assets through using standard digital content creation tools. Learn about real-time 3D environmental principles while gaining programming practice to construct your first immersive applications.

 

Modules Include:

  • Programming Basics for XR

TECHNICAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE BUILDING

During this phase, students advance into deeper XR knowledge by designing markerless AR projects and developing VR applications for both mobile and desktop environments. 

 

The teaching curriculum focuses on XR interface development while demonstrating the integration of third-party APIs to build applications that prioritize user needs for enterprise applications.

FINAL CAPSTONE PROJECT

Use knowledge by creating an end-to-end XR solution to handle a real-life business issue.

 

Through this project, you can show your competence in solving problems through immersive technology for healthcare and education, as well as interactive entertainment.

Rajesh Chakravarthy has worked in digital art and design for the past 18 years (stationed as an educator within various creative media and tech schools for 9 of those years) and is a veteran AR/VR developer and an Unreal Engine Authorised Instructor.  His leadership has led many students to successful careers within prominent companies around the globe. Rajesh’s research and hard work has made great strides in Augmented and Virtual Reality, as he intersects design, technology, and business through his many ventures in prototyping and education.

Luther Chan has more than 10 years of experience in the Game Industry. His strength is in Game Development and Emerging Technologies. He is the Founder of Explosive Barrel an independent game development studio that focuses on creating high quality games and we have been doing so for over 10 years. In addition to creating our own games, they also create games for websites and brands. His previous clients include Ubisoft, Coke, Cheetos, E4, NHS and Air France-KLM. Luther graduated with a Bachelor of Computing (Communications and Media), from the National University of Singapore.
